We love our volunteers and our volunteers love the Library. Come support the Library and make new friends. There are many ways to contribute.
Support Online Sales
We sell donated books, CDs, and DVDs online via Amazon and eBay. We currently have an opening for Saturday morning volunteers to list donated materials on our Amazon and eBay stores. Must be available two to four times per month, have basic computer skills, good with grammar and can spot a typo a mile away. Email us to get started.
Help with Book Sales
We’re looking for volunteer Day Managers to help with a single day of our quarterly Book Sales. You’d be paired with a veteran volunteer to learn how a Book Sale is run from open to close. Once trained, you’d co-manage two sale days each year. If this sounds like a good fit for you, email us.
Of course there are many other ways to help make our quarterly Book Sales successful. See our Book Sales page for more information.
New Volunteer Coordination
We need someone to help us process and respond to the new volunteer applications we receive each week. You’d send welcome notes to each new volunteer, add them to our email list and direct them to our various volunteer teams. If you’re friendly, have a little free time and have basic computer skills, email us!
Help us spread the word about Book Sales, special events and all the good work we do for the Library! Right now we need graphic designers to help us create bookmarks, signs, banners and more in preparation for our 50th anniversary celebration. If you’re a wizard with Photoshop or magic with videos and media, we’d love to hear from you! Email us for more details.
Sort Donated Materials
Sorting our donations is the first step in raising funds to support the Library. We have teams of volunteers who process incoming donations of books and media in 2-hour shifts once a week. Visit our Sorting Donations page for more information.
Assist with Lobby Shop Sales
We have the nicest faces in our shop and we’d be happy to add yours! If you are happy to meet friendly people in the Library, this might be the place for you. For more details, see our Lobby Shop Volunteers page.
