Your generous donations of money, books and media allow our organization to fund programs and materials at the Library. Refreshing the Best Seller Collection, visits from renowned authors, kids’ science and art camps, concerts and musical performances, adult educational seminars and the Summer Reading program are just some of the activities we’re able to sponsor for the community.

Frequently Asked Questions About Donating
Q: Can I donate a book to go into the Library?
A: Not directly. The Library purchases and manages all books (and media) in its catalog. You can request a specific book be purchased by the Library by submitting a request directly to them. Be sure to list the precise edition you are requesting.
Q: How do donations help the Library?
A: The Friends are the sole sponsors of the Children’s Summer Reading Program and the Friends’ Bestseller Collections of popular books and DVDs. The Friends also help pay for other library books, materials, programs, and equipment.
Friends of the Mountain View Library never shares or sells your information.
