• Have fun while helping your community in a meaningful way – the work of our all volunteer organization generates an average donation of $75,000 a year to fund programs at the Mountain View Public Library

Board Member Responsibilities

• Become a member of the Friends if you’re not already ($20 annual fee)
• Read and stay up-to-date on financial reports, committee operations, and programs 
• Attend monthly hybrid Board meetings held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7-9pm
• Lead or volunteer with one of our committees
• Participate in fundraising activities such as Book Sales, the Lobby Shop, or Membership  

We are accepting nominations for the Board until filled for the fiscal year July 2025 to June 2026. If you would like to be considered for next year’s Board, email us your nomination and a short bio.
